So, there are two parts to my question:1) Which notes get included in a GEDCOM file, and which of these would other software successfully import?2) Where do the various notes in FTM route to in which reports? I would like to know so I can save printable reports that are as clear and concise as possible, for my personal reference, for sharing, and as a kind of backup. Is there any kind of graphic, spreadsheet, mindmap, table etc out there that I could use as a reference?
Hey, people, just want to let you know I sent an email to ancestry.com about the problem of FTM GEDCOM exports not being compliant with GEDCOM standards. I requested that they dedicate adequate resources to fix this within the software, rather than requiring so many of their most committed customers to fix so every individual record, when it is a system problem, etc etc. I requested that they look at the posts on this blog to understand the issue better, and that they forward my email as a bug report.
